Peyron and his Banque Populaire V crew arrived late Friday night in Brest in a time of 45 days, 13 hours, 42 minutes, 53 seconds.
CMN and its composite subsidiary JMV INDUSTRIES are proud to have taken part in this amazing challenge in building the hulls of Banque Populaire V in their Cherbourg facilities.
This tour de force hoists Jean-Marie Vaur's shipyard among the best construction sites for composite constructions in the world. If JMV did not build the complete ship, the 40m hull and both 37m floats were realized in Cherbourg, thanks to the know-how of JMV.
With a mast 47 meters long and a total width of 23 meters, the boat is a maxi oceanic trimaran, able to line up the records under the colours of the Banque Populaire. |
